Telecom Expense Management Software and Services

Introduction   |   Challenges and Benefits   |   How TCC Can Help

Given the complexities of these new solutions, TCC brings to the table years of telecom experience to help your organization with TEMS analysis and implementation in a vendor-neutral setting

Software Evaluation Services
The evaluation of TEMS systems requires an understanding of many functional areas inside a corporation and the need to evaluate the willingness of those functional areas to embrace change. Six Sigma analyses have allowed many corporations to fully understand the implications and assess the changing requirements. Other organizations have plunged into a TEMS system deployment without complete understanding and experienced disappoint with the promised man power reductions, cost savings and cost avoidance, and overall understanding of their telecommunications environment.

Successful implementation will require changes in your existing organizations and processes! TCC can assist your organizations in evaluating and defining your existing processes and requirements. During the evaluation process, TCC will assist in documenting necessary changes including re-allocation of head count, process flows, and areas of responsibility. TCC will also advise your organization on the pros and cons of processes which might be beneficial to outsource.

Initial Data Setup Services
TCC's staff can supplement your staff during the initial loading and mapping of data. While the software vendor may be able to link their system with your AP, GL, and HR systems, TCC can assist you staff in mapping each invoice to the appropriate cost center, GL code, location, and service. Initial data auditing rules must be set, vendor contacts and contracts must be loaded, and ordering templates may need to be established. All these are tasks NOT associated with the software vendors' system setup and must be performed accurately to ensure a successful implementation.

Business Process Outsourcings Services
Many processes associated with Telecommunications Expense Management are likely candidates for outsourcing. For example, even in an electronic bill receipt environment, as many as 15% of your invoices will remain as paper only. Those invoices will need to be manually entered and audited. Additionally, some companies routinely scan the paper version of electronically received invoices for data retention purposes. Other functions like audit analysis, audit threshold setting, dispute resolution, and simple account changes (calling plan changes for wireless users for example) are candidates for external expertise to supplement your staffs and receive the full benefit to a TEMS system.
